Pirkei Avos Chapter Three
Pirkei Avos Perek Shlishi Chof Sivan 5770
Yagdil Torah brings you weekly excerpts of selected Mishnayos from Kehos's new Sefer
on Pirkei Avos so that you may benefit from these beautiful explanations.
Rabbi Nechunya ben Hakanah said:
Whoever takes the yoke of Torah upon himself - the yoke of government and the yoke of worldly cares are removed from him. But whoever casts
off the yoke of Torah from himself - the yoke of government and the yoke of worldly cares are imposed upon him.
Yoke of Torah - Even if you lack the motivation to study because of worldly distractions and burdens, strengthen yourself and study by accepting the "yoke" of Torah. If you do not allow your worldly worries to demoralize you, you will merit their disappearance. But if you decrease your Torah study thinking that you will better be able to attend to your worldly needs, those needs will increase. (The Rebbe in Biurim)
The publication will be distributed in local shuls and will also be available on our website.
