We continuously strive to make our Heichal Halimmud as comfortable a place to learn as possible, which is why we offer refreshments. Sukkos is fast approaching, and as Chassidim, we are makpid not to eat anything outside of a Sukka. Therefore, we are looking to purchase a Sukka for the use of our Heichal learners.
Why do we go to the country? The homes are smaller and less comfortable, and the mosquitoes never let up.
Many people don't know what it means but most people in our community are familiar with the concept. It translates to Kal Vchomer; here is an example:

If you asked your grandfather why he used to go learn at the Beis Midrash, his reasons would most likely vary slightly from yours. After coming home to a not quite warm enough house, to the supper of a still slightly raw fish, all due to the fact that he could not afford enough firewood to keep the fire strong, he was only too happy to attend to his learning at the local Beis Midrash, where R' Dovid ensured that the place was always warm and well lit. His wife was only too happy to send him along to learn Hashem's holy Torah.
